About MeMy name is Julyette Steur and I’m a senior at the Leeds Business school, studying Operations and Information’s Management. In August of 2015, I will graduate with honors. I’m originally from the Netherlands, but I moved to Boulder three years ago to study here, as well as to compete as a Division I athlete for the University of Colorado. Having “two jobs" (being student and tennis player), it’s all about efficiency for me. So figuring out how a process can be optimized with respect to time, cost and sustainability is really crucial and interesting to me, which is why I studied Management. I've been team captain for two years at the Colorado Women's Tennis Team and have participated in a Leadership Academy. Outside of school and sports, I enjoy giving back to the community, for example reading to children in elementary schools.

Other Interests
Whenever I'm not on the tennis court or in the classroom, I try to spend my time enjoying my other hobbies. I love reading books, my favorite author being Dan Brown. Pursuing my athletic career, I also get to travel a lot, meet different people and discover new cultures and countries. This hobby also leeds me to my next interest, which is learning languages. I grew up bilingual learning Dutch and German, and I picked up English in elementary school. Right now I'm learning Spanish and I'm looking to to keep building my language skills. Lastly, I 'm a fan of music, classical piano pieces in particular.
